Look, Miami was better than Boston, but BOSH NEVER HITS THREES. This is seriously as rare as Daniel starting a thread. Not kidding. Fuck. FUUUUCK.
I love Lebron, love him. I thought his season warranted more praise than anyone's season has since Jordan's 72-10 season. In a shortened, grueling season, he was amazing. Then he raised his game for the playoffs. Then he was amazing in game six of the Eastern Conference Finals. It was all astounding. But to reward Dwayne Wade for playing subpar ball and for constantly being a rabid cunt to the refs? The basketball gods hate me. Bosh hitting three threes when he had hit 4 his entire career? Insane. Battier had been awful. AWFUL. And Pierce left him so open instead of making him hit contested shots when he can't.
I really loved this Boston squad. They lost two centers, two guards, a forward and played the oldest starting five in the world all season long. It's not frustrating that they lost to Miami. Miami was better. It's frustrating that we lost to a sniveling bunch of pussies who are entitled to a title they haven't earned. The only player that acted like basketball mattered was Lebron fucking James.
And at the end, I think the biggest lesson everyone learns is that a team like Miami needs to have a championship top be considered great. And it makes me insane. They are a great team when they play without complaint, without restraint. When they were killing people this season, I watched them with glee. I loved Miami. Then they started struggling and Wade started bitching for calls, Chalmers was allowed to be an asshole. Everything turned to this weird, angry version of the Heat. I can't figure out why they started playing this way, it doesn't behoove them. The Heat are a wonderfully talented team that plays better defense when they get back in transition instead of crying for calls or looking around to someone to direct them.
I really wanted the Celtics to win because I loved them. But it grew to more than that. As each game saw the Heat unravel more, I just couldn't stand watching the Heat play anymore. This was my first encounter with hating them. I am an NBA apologist.
That makes me almost as angry as my blinders for loving this Celtics team. The Heat should be awesome and fun. Instead, they act entitled and spoiled and play terrible games that don;t make sense. It angers me as a basketball fan.
Anyone that read this far is completely insane. I am completely insane for writing this, but I had to write it somewhere and I don't really want a bunch of people reading it. There's a porch full of people here right now and I can barely face them. Goddamnit. Sports. Ready? Break.
