-last year we did head to head. any thoughts on head-to-head vs. roto?
-yahoo has finally implemented an auction draft. this is a draft where you have a budget for your team and people compete to bid on players. whoever wins the auction on a player drafts them and has to give up whatever they bid. i've always wanted to play in a league like this but what do you guys think? too complicated?
-SUBQUESTION: if roto and auction draft are too intense for the layperson should we again consider a third league for the nerds?

also, i think maybe the auction will be a bit tough, cause inevitably someone can't make the live draft, and then what happens? can yahoo auto-auction for you?

Meh, RBIs are too much of a team stat for my liking. I'm cool with the current way.

I think saves are more independent than RBIs, but that's a circular and boring argument. Kill saves too if you want. I'm totally cool with that.

obviously saves are a dumb stat but if we don't use them there's no point to having relief pitchers

actually, i'm okay without rbi's because of the team stat thing, but i do think clutch hitting is an important attribute. would it do anything for anyone if we added fielding percentage to the hitters and TB to the pitchers?

or pitch count for that matter?

actually scratch that, pitch count wouldn't be good. TB on the pitching side could be interesting though, I think.

i'll be there for the draft, so i'm cool with auction. and those stats work for me.

well no discussion of useless stats would be complete without fielding percentage!
