i am pretty drunj

still trying to get used to this spanish timetable. you eat lunch at like 2pm and then eat dinner at like four in the morning or some shit. tapas are also overrated. if you´ve had deep fried balls of anything or pretty good ham then you´ll know what to expect. the best part of spain is that there is beer and liquor served at everything (probably even the public library, i´ll check tom.) and it´s mad cheap by US standards if you´re in a neighborhood joint. i drank about 12 beers tonight (some local shit that was salty but good) and it came out to 9 euros (about 13.50). holla.

i suppose the weirdest thing about here is that people all look the same. the women are uniformly good looking; (it took me a billion hours to find that stupid semicolon) they are thin, somewhat tall and have dark hair with bangs. picture a country full of penelope cruz and zoey deschanel´s offspring. but the guys all uniformly look like this: 5´10", thin, short hair, h&m clothes. so imagine bars and streets and restaurants teeming with this and there i am, tall, fat, long haired AMERICAN with a remember brendles howling dog t-shirt sitting amidst them. least i can say is i am pretty out of place. but everyone is pretty chill and very patient with my admittedly clumsy spanish.

at least in madrid people are down to earth and chilled out. it is really diverse here, lots of indians and chinese and latin americans and shit and everyone is cool and eager to talk. barcelona was visually like paris but also personally so, and everyone seemed like they were in too much of a rush to spend one billion euros on a yacht than talk to you. i should have told them i was a member of the dildo hats club and had a subscription to yachts monthly. it was a really stuck up city and there was one big street where they sold tarantulas. i hated that.

anyways i suppose i am a bit homesick so i would like to say that i miss all of you and i hope 2010 is an awesome year for you all. i now open the floor to joey and jarf making fun of any and all that i´ve written above. have at it.
